FREE: My philosophy of life in 3.09 minutes.

FLY AWAY: Originally written for my EX.

THIS OL' ROCK 'N' ROLLER: I'd been playing a club in SARNIA, ONTARIO, one Sunday night. Because it was a Sunday, a whole bunch of musicians who had the night off came down. There was such a wide cross-section of musical styles, ages and experiences. I went back to my room that night, and thought about all of us, and what keeps us doing what we do. This song fell out of the sky.

TARA: Originally written as SARAH. But between the demo and the final recording a whole bunch of songs called SARAH came out ("STARSHIP", "STEVIE NICKS"). So I found another name I love that fits. Although a love song between adults, it could also be a parent to daughter dedication.

IF WISHES WERE HORSES: Based on an old saying, I had this line in my notebook for years. One night I took another shot, and out it flowed.

PACK YOUR DREAMS: A song about not letting life pass you by.

LOVE IS: Written during a dark time. A cry in the night. My spirit striving toward the light of healing.

IN THE MIND OF MY WOMAN: A tribute to the love of a woman for a man who has yet to fuIlfil his dreams.

DON'T LAY ON ME: A 'gospel' sounding hurtin' song.

OLD TOM CAT SONG: Written while still living at the farm with lots of "Folk" influence. There were three century old barns there. The wild barn cats would venture out now and again and sit on the house window sills, trying to get a handout. Barn cats are a cross between "House Kitties" and Bengal Tigers. This is a tribute to them. That's IAN TANNER slapping a 'real' Double Bass.

YOU AIN'T NO ELVIS PRESLEY: The story of my life. Almost
